The Marching Rams are the outdoor element of the Dickinson Band Program.
Our marching season begins in late August with a rigorous training period known as 'Band Camp'. During this time you, the Marching Ram, will learn the fundamentals of marching and musicianship. By the time camp is over you will know how to respond to vocal commands, march in formation, and play your instrument while marching. You will also be taught a majority of the half-time show. Because so much material is covered during camp, attendance is mandatory for all Marching Rams. Band Camp dates are always posted a year in advance, giving you ample time to adjust your work schedules accordingly.
Between the end of camp and mid-November, we will perform on a weekly basis. Sporting events, parades, and pep rallies are just a few of the events where we will be feature performers.
